Domestic Operations

Illinois Basin

The Illinois Basin has been the focal point for Pioneer Oil Company since its inception nearly 35 years ago.  At the office, we maintain approximately 800 well records for this region.  We continue to explore this area for further development opportunities.  Pioneer has established itself in the region as a company committed to domestic oil and gas production and environmental protection.  We have been involved in several projects to improve the Illinois Basin.  To this end, Pioneer has donated thousands of dollars to the Orphan Well Project, a project aimed at plugging abandoned wells and cleaning up the affected areas.

Pioneer Oil Company is an active participant in the Indiana Oil and Gas Association (INOGA) and the Illinois Oil and Gas Association (IOGA).  Pioneer has supported varying projects with these organizations through financial support, advertising, and time.  We look forward to our continued association with these organizations.

Kansas

Pioneer Oil Company, Inc. has ventured into the gas industry by operating several wells in Kansas.  Pioneer anticipates expanding the operations in this area.  As such, Pioneer is commencing two new prospects, with anticipation of exploration activities commencing early 2008.

Nevada

Pioneer has been investigating the possibility of expanding its operations into Nevada.  Working through the Federal Government in the procuring of leases, Pioneer Oil Company, Inc. is actively seeking new areas to explore within the state.

Utah

Pioneer and its partners will be conducting oil and gas explorations on a federal and Indian Reservation lands lease.  Under this lease, Pioneer has been designated as the operator and plans to commence exploration activities in either late 2007 or 2008.  The federal and Indian lease, held by Pioneer and its partnerss, is in Uintah County, Utah.
